Detek completed the implementation of a large DNS, DHCP and WINS project to provide support to all of the corporate desktops.  Internet Email and Proxy Servers were employed in this project.  Detek installed high-speed file and print services on a 100 MB backbone utilizing switched hub technology with 3 high-speed links to the servers.

Detek also provided the management and technical leadership to accomplish this extensive upgrade and migration project for our client. The systems and solutions installed were thoroughly documented.

Client: Major Insurance and Financial Institution; Server modernization

 Detek assisted the client in Migrating from a Novell NetWare 3.x and 4.x environment to an MS Windows network consisting of 15 NT2000 and 12 NT4.0 Servers.  Design also included the schema for a Microsoft Trusted-Domain security model with MS SNA Gateways for mainframe access.

Detek also oversaw the rollout of 100 MS Windows 98 and 250 NT workstations with a standardized application suite. To facilitate the rollout, Detek we automated the operating systems installation for Windows 98 and NT 4.0 workstations and developed a software distribution system for delivery and maintenance of application software. The project included the implementation of enterprise Virus control, Firewalls, VPN, PKI and Security Policy formulation.
